Breaking News: North Korea goes Nuclear

According to BBCnews,

North Korea says it has carried out its first ever test of a nuclear weapon, the state news agency has reported.

It said the underground test, done in defiance of international warnings, was a success and had not resulted in any leak of radiation.

A South Korean official said an explosion had been detected in the north-east of North Korea, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale.

Hmmmm....this is interesting then. So we are in for some wonderful days ahead of us. Have to see what the response of Mr. "Monkey" Bush is goign to be....

I'm wondering what North Korea is thinking. Well, it's obvious what they're thinking but it seems so counter-productive. A nuclear program is all well and good but, when you're economy is a shit as N. Korea's, all you have to do is piss off both China & the U.S. (which NK has successfully done) and all your foreign aid goes out the window. NK is that dependent on it that, if China puts on heavy restrictions, NK will collapse, no ifs and buts about it.

I kinda agree with you on the part tht NK has pissed of both China & the U.S. at the same time, but to wht extent depends upon who you are talking to. I don't think China is going to be really pissed off right now....tht all will surely change if NK gets the delivery system.

Anyways, my point was tht the current administration tht we have is one of the MAIN reasons tht pushed NK to this far. You just cannot declare them as being part of the axis of evil and threaten to bomb the hell out of them unless they submit completely to the international community! Definitely not when you have a crazy and insecure dictator at the helm!

I think Clinton did a far better job with regards to NK.

@ little cottage: I kinda agree man. Bush because of his screwed view of the world made it a reasonable option for countries to arm themselves against the U.S.

I may not agree with this option but these countries have no other way out having felt threatened by his axis of evil speech.

Peace.

Thanks for dropping by. Appreciate that.
